Yes, if you don't eat the state or federal food that is provided to you for free other inmates that like certain meals will pay you for them. You can accept money if in a prison system where currency is available to inmates or through commissary items as well. This is a great way to earn a little extra money to buy coffee every week or whatever it is you are into.
