Mitchell College
I attend Mitchell College in New London, CT as I previously stated and I want to tell anyone who is listening from the CT area if you can go to school here. It is the best small college in CT by far. Fuck Western and Eastern and all that shit. Mitchell has the best faculty for the most part except for a few idiots and one asshole in particular who thinks he runs the place but is just a moron. The counselors are the best I have had anywhere and I have been to big college's like Northeastern University in Boston, MA and Central Connecticut State University as well as Salve Regina in Newport, RI. These schools are great and look even better on a resume coming out of college into the job market for the first time but you don't get the attention you need to learn and really grow as a person in a place like that. At least for someone like me anyways. I need one on one time every now and again to make sure I understand what is going on in class. The scenery is beautiful in New London looking out onto Long Island Sound and watching the ferry's go by is one of the most peaceful things I do now. It's a nice slow paced environment for kids and adults like myself looking for something a little more personal. I highly recommend this institution and all the professors and staff that work there. The sports program is pretty good too with some really great, inspirational coaches. I mean that. Truly. If it weren't for Mitchell College giving me a second chance at an education I would be fucked right now. Thanks to my friends and connections there I have the opportunity to finish my Bachelors Degree in Business and who knows, maybe start another business one day. This time a legitimate business and totally one hundred percent on my own. Mitchell is a great place to begin your college education or pick up where you left off. Many adults attend class here as well as 19 year old kids fresh out of highschool. Diversity is one of the school's strong points if you ask me. Summer programs are offered, which will be starting in June and going through July and minimesters are also common in May and the winter for those that want to get a few courses in a very short amount of time, two weeks to be precise. Do yourself a big favor and check it out online at Mitchell.edu.com.

Mitchell College
I am a past and now again present student at Mitchell College in New London, CT. I have attended much more prestigious and larger institutions of learning such as Northeastern University in Boston, MA and even Central Connecticut State University in New Britian, CT but find the smaller campus and classroom size of Mitchell more to my liking. The College also is set in a picturesque seaside village close to Ocean Beach and a state park. The school boasts views of long island sound right from the classroom. That along with a lower student to teacher ratio and the fact that Mitchell is now a four year institution makes the school very attractive to students looking for a smaller college setting. My cousin Jason, who is an executive for MGM Grand at Foxwoods Casino initially put me on to the school when it was mostly for people looking for associates degrees. He graduated from Mitchell and now I am trying to follow in his footsteps. The faculty and staff are friendly and very helpful. The price of tuition isn't cheap compared to similar schools but the one on one between teachers and students makes up for the school's lack of prestige to me. Since I last attended the size of the campus has grown as well. Mitchell has added a new building and bought up more of the surrounding land and homes, converting them into offices and classrooms. They have a top notch business program taught by local entrepreneurs that actually take the classroom into the community. Students are encouraged to develop local ideas and business plans that can actually be implemented by the school or the students themselves. Mitchell College business management majors run and operate Michael's Dairy Creamery, a local ice cream shop that does very well for itself once the warm weather brings back the seasonal residences of New London along with the tourists. The Cross Sound Ferry is in close proximity and can take passengers out to Block Island and Orient Point as well as to Long Island, NY. New London is close to the beaches of Westerly,RI and Mystic,CT and this area is well known for excellent dining and lodging. The Light House Inn in New London is a world famous establishment for dining and staying the night as well as for weddings. If anyone is interested in Haunted locations the Inn is extremely haunted and so are a number of other close spots. Ledge Light House on Long Island Sound is reportedly haunted by it's former lighthouse keeper. Mitchell has a close knit community where students in residence halls and commutes alike all help one another with campus issues. New students are always welcome with open arms and I for one can say I have enjoyed my time spent at this amazing school.Check out Mitchell College at the school's website
