Prison 101

This is a picture of A court or high court as it's otherwise known in New London, CT and is a place you don't ever want to have to go for a criminal case against you. Only the most serious cases that stay in state court go here. If u are ever unlucky enough to visit you will be surrounded by the likes of rapists, child molesters, murderers, and only the biggest drug cases that don't go federal for whatever reason. It's not a great picture but the place looks and is built like a bunker.

Prison 101 Tip

When your locked up doing your bid time moves much faster than you would think. In fact it moves faster than it does when your in the real world. The hardest part is filling that time with things that will help you become a better person than when you went in. I recommend taking any programs offered to you as well as signing up for any programs that relate to your case and why your locked  up to begin with. Not only will this help in making you a better person and solving your issues but it will look good in front of the parole board and for potential employers when you get out of prison. There are many of these types of programs to choose from though the list gets smaller and smaller each year while the waiting list to get into them gets longer and longer. Anger management, addiction services like AA and NA as well as specific drug rehab programs are offered and even high school education programs to get your GED. What else do you have to do that is really more important than gaining some tools to give yourself a fighting chance when you get back into society?

Kindle Fire

I am currently trying to decide on what 7 inch tablet to purchase for my 7 year old daughter for her birthday. I don't want to pay too much and need the device to be able to stream Netflix, as well as download apps and games for her to play. So far my research has led me to the Kindle Fire which seems to be extremely popular and a quality tablet. The 8GB or storage with no micro sd cared slot does concern me but it runs a 1gz dual core processor with a little less than 1gb or RAM. It isn't the most powerful but for the $200 price tag it might be worth it. I am also looking at other options but higher spec 7 inch tabs are almost double the money. I really like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 inch just running WiFi but it is almost as expensive as the Tab 10.1 that I am currently using. Samsung makes great products with powerful processors but I am not willing to spend that amount of cash on a tablet for my daughter. The Kindle Fire or the Nook by Barnes and Noble seem to be the best choices and are both easily rooted and modified, though it does void the warranty, so that they can be used as full fledged Android Tablets running that OS and software. I'm not sure what to do as of right this second but whatever I decide I will write a complete review and let everyone know how well or poorly the device performs and if my daughter likes it or not.

My Office

I am now working as a law clerk and legal aid for a lawyer that I know. It is a flexible job and works perfectly with my college schedule. Working in a law office has so many benefits I can't even start to explain them all but I know that I will possess more knowledge of the things I actually want to know more about by working here. It is quiet and the people that work with me are very talented and dedicated. Hard work pays off sometimes and I hope to continue learning more about the law while working for an attorney.

Trees are blooming at Mitchell College

Summer is right around the corner and the scenery is beautiful here in New London at Mitchell. I'm getting ready for exams then summer semesters which run in June and July. They are more intense but shorter and anyone looking to pick up some credits during the summer months should check out what courses are being offered.
