When you get out of prison the real challenge starts. Recidivism rates all across the country are up around 70 to 80 percent. Once your in the system and have an inmate number it is almost impossible to get out and stay out. If you don't have lots of resources and assistance you are almost certainly doomed to continue going through the revolving door of prison. There are so many obstacles in your path from parole and probation officers to the unemployment rate, it makes it very easy to just give in and do things the easy way. The same things that got you locked up in the first place. This time will be different,I have everything under control. I've said those same words to myself. Nothing is ever any different or better if your getting high or committing crimes. It always ends up the same way. Locked up wondering what you did wrong or could have done better or different. Take it from me, nothing changes if nothing changes. Jump through all the hoops and bust your ass everyday then maybe you will start to feel better about yourself and who you are. It doesn't matter what your doing as long as it's keeping you out of jail and paying the bills. Who gives a shit what anyone else says, it's your life not theirs. Give it a shot. Worst that can happen is you don't like it. Then you can reserve a eight by twelve cage for two at your favorite correctional facility and check in for any number of years that you like. I for one won't be seeing you there.
